Irina OSLEJA is a Latvian Artist. She lives and works in Riga.

Irina is graduated from the Latvian Art Academy, department of painting (MA in 2013). She also studied art in Florence and in the Academy of fine arts of Venice.

“La Rificolona” is a traditional Florentine feast that is celebrated on the beginning of September end helps to greet the end of summer. The city is lit up with thousands of lanterns and a parade of boats is organized on the Arno. The origins of “Rificolona” date back to ancient times when farmers celebrated the birth of the Virgin using lanterns hanging on top of sticks. They gathered in the Basilica of the Annunciation in the middle of the night and sold their agricultural products.
